S&P 500 3335,47 -16,13.

A quiet trading day ahead of the first presidential debate, we observed some selling pressure as measured by our buying/selling index, breadth closed on a slightly negative note: 1524 stocks advanced compared to 2331 that settled down. Options trading was tilted on purchase of calls and the closing tick finished positive. The net list of new highs/new lows is again positive. In summary, the stock market is looking for direction ahead of the season’s corporate results as the risk profile index is back around the neutral level.
