S&P 500 3889,14 -21,38.

The Nasdaq continues to be the weak spot with the Russell 2000 index. It is interesting to note that the list of stocks hitting fresh new lows is expanding on the NYSE and on the Nasdaq. Options traders are starting to hedge somehow their positions by buying more puts than recently. The Tick index closed negative. The weekly investment survey among private investors still points out to a lot of confidence from this category of investors as the bull to bear ratio continues to hover above the 2 mark, historically the top of the trading range and a warning signal.
