In today’s investment environment, measuring the contribution to return is no longer sufficient. The real question is whether the return from active decisions exceeds the expected risk-adjusted return. Most attribution models measure only the contribution to return independently of risk, which does not allow for an assessment of the actual value added by active management.
During this Meet & Eat, Philippe Grégoire will explore how incorporating risk into performance attribution can provide a more meaningful assessment of active management. Through practical examples drawn from diversified portfolios, participants will learn how allocation and stock-picking decisions can be evaluated using an approach that combines return, risk, and risk-adjusted value creation.
