A quiet summer trading day closing a week that saw prices trading in a tight range. This is confirmed by the VIX that is drifting to the low 20’s. Breadth closed slightly down on the NYSE and the Nasdaq whereas options traders were slightly less eager to buy calls than during the preceeding days.
