S&P 500 3115,86 +15,6.

The stock market advanced slightly with a mixed bag among various indexes. The Nasdaq, as usual, was the strongest whereas The Dow Jones Industrials and the Dow Jones Transport closed lower even if Fedex reported strong results and jumped at the opening. This index has to be followed closely as it has been historically a reliable leading indicator. Options traders were again eager to play the upside of the market by buying calls and breadth settled slightly positive: 2103 stocks advanced compared to 1779 that settled down. Our short term model based on prices has started to turn up.
