The stock market closed the first week of trading of the year on a strong note although breadth wasn’t that impressive, barely positive. Options trading was less buoyant than the previous days. Most of our indicators are overbought and some like the Skew index and the consolidated sentiment index are still hovering in the red zone. During the whole week, buying pressure has been strong on the Nasdaq, as measured by our buying/selling index compared to the activity on the NYSE.
